Iron Mountain is our flagship data center client. Data center work carries the highest qualification barrier in this trade, which is exactly what makes it worth publishing.
The challenge
Coating work inside a live data hall removes most of the tools a painting crew normally relies on. Spraying is out because atomized material circulates into the air handling and into the machines. Aluminum ladders are out near live electrical systems. Reused equipment is out because of dried material flakes. Access is controlled and scheduled rather than open.
Our approach
We ran the documented mission-critical protocol: rolling only with no spraying, brand-new buckets every day, new extension poles, non-conductive fiberglass ladders, equipment cleaned spotless before entry, and sealed containment maintained around the work area. Crews were background-checked W2 employees briefed on FOD elimination and ESD control before entering.

Following surface repairs, our crew applied a high-adhesion exterior masonry primer, followed by a two-coat spray-and-back-roll application of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Rain Refresh—formulated with self-cleaning technology that sheds dirt upon rain contact to maintain long-term exterior durability.
